About Eagle | Investment approach

Many investment-management firms emphasize a singular investing philosophy: growth or value, large cap or small cap, for instance. But no single asset class has consistently outperformed others over the long term. Therefore, we have established individual investment teams that we charge with a single task: to provide long-term clients with superior risk-adjusted returns. Each portfolio manager is responsible for all portfolio decisions — buys, sells, weightings — and each has a staff of analysts.

Each Eagle equity program is built on fundamental, bottom-up research. Our managers and analysts conduct extensive inquiries into the companies in which they perceive an investment opportunity. We believe we will be better able to meet our goals if we understand a company’s past performance and future prospects. On the fixed-income side, our research emphasizes structural analysis to capitalize on perceived inefficiencies in the bond market. We seek to identify securities with unique features that may be overlooked by other fixed-income investors.

Eagle’s structure is designed to allow our portfolio managers and their research teams to do what they do best: buy and sell stocks and bonds in their respective disciplines.
